When one of the guys of Peter Bjorn and Johnis involved in a project, the chances are very high that we get kick-ass quality music. Said that, ‘Smile’ is a project consisting of PBJ’s Björn Yttling and Joakim Åhlund, member of the legendary Caesars, the Teddabears and Les Big Byrd. So yes, that makes it obvious that we get catchy melodies with a decent amount of retro-vibes in it :)
Now they teamed up with Swedish Synth-Queen Robyn who sings this banger and it is interesting to hear Robyn in quite acoustic setting without the heavy use of Synths and Arpeggios.
‘Call my Name’ will be on the upcoming album from Smile called ‘Phantom Island’ which will be out on November, 19th on Chimp Limbs and Ingrid.
