Miss Li has been around since a couple of years now and every single year she surprises us with two things:
First she is a really good songwriter not just for her own stuff, but also for a couple of other artists from all around Europe. The melodies in her songs are always strong in – that leads us to the second point – no matter what sound-design: Miss Li did albums in a Noir style, Indie-style, 60s-vibe, Flower-Power-vibe. Her voice and the melodies connect all these together.
And this is how it is with her new songs (like “Bonfire“) as well – especially with The day I die: The basic tone is more electronic but contains a smooth laidback reggae-vibe in it.
