Sgrow is a duo from Oslo, Norway and consists of Vilde Nupen and Kristoffer Lislegaard.
Their sound could be described as “experimental pop/dance/indie”, if you know FKA Twigs, Aphex Twin or Björk you get the style. Broken and not broken beats, minimalistic instrumentation but a good portion of flirring effects and athmospheres all around. The voice of Vilde brings the amount of extra-spice and uniqueness to the sound of Sgrow.
They released their debut album “Terrors and Ecstasies” in 2015 and new music will come approximately in November 2017 in form of various mini-albums called “Circumstance”.
The song “Feel something” – which has already gained more then 41.000 Spotify-play in a short time – is driven by heavy drumsloops and massive bass-lines. Combined with light chords and the floating voice of Vilde this a very fine club banger for everone who loves indie-clubbing. Yeah!
Sgrow tell about the lyrics and the music of the song: “Feel Something is about empowerment through transformation and about those rare moments of revelation that can sometimes hit you with full force, surprise and bewilderment. In the same way, we wanted Feel Something to be a track that musically transforms and surprises and does not conform to the standards.”
