The Folk-Indie-Pop-band around singer and songwriter Pål Angelskår has done it again: They deliver an album that is sounding so much “Minor Majority”, they really have developed their own sound. But inside this room they do not stop with their creativity but bring in new elements every time. “Kiss Off” is a very intimate album which sometimes sounds like chamber pop.
Angelskår says about the album: “There are usually one or two songs that kick off the process of creating a new album, which makes you want to create a new collection of songs, which sets the stage. On this album, Kiss Off was the song that led the way and drew certain guidelines for the rest of the album.”
But nevertheless the classic style which made them famous is there too: Soft, melody-driven indie-rock/po with those absolutely gorgeous melodies with that sad undertone like in Supergirl or She gave me away.
