Freyr Flodgren, the swedish-icelandic singer/songwriter born in Umeå in Northern Sweden and relocated to Stockholm with a focus on his career, released great acoustic tracks right from the start with the wonderful songs Over my head and I’m here. With pianos sounds, acoustic guitars and floating melodies he creates a open space soundset for his calm voice.
Since then he evolved his sound by allowing him to include more electronic fragments in the songs. His new piece Neighbour Boy will be released on 24.04.2020 via Nettwerk Music Group and it is the second new song of Freyr in 2020 after the fantastic I’m sorry.
Neighbour Boy catches the listener immediately with the laid-back sound and the thriving acoustic guitar playing. The atmospheric sound is topped with a great chorus – and the whole song is intimate and wide at the same time. Again he manages to include the wide landscapes of Sweden and Iceland in his sound in some subliminal way. Neighbor Boy is another great tune in a row of Freyr!
As he states on his website, he is planning to release more songs this year and we can’t wait to hear them!
