“The way it goes” is not only a new song by the Bergen-based Spellemannprisen-honoured indie-pop group Pogo Pops, but also the first new music video in years. And when there is the label “Pogo Pops” on it, you’ll get high-class music: “The way it goes” is a perfect ballad: it is melancholic, it has a strong chorus and it has so wonderful chord changes in that give goosebumps. And there is always a little sunny light at the end – the video is supporting this feeling in a wonderful fitting way.
Filmed on an island outside of Bergen it shows the great nature and surroundings at the fjords, connected to the song with the stories of various filmed people.
The new album “Love Is The Greatest Compass” will be out in a couple of days (20.05.) in Scandinavia and later in the rest of the world. And “The way it goes” sets a good standard for the other songs, as far as we could here on some samples: This will be a fantastic new album!
If you have the chance to see them live: Do it! – welovenordic saw them playing live on an Apollon records label night in Berlin in February and after all these years the band exists, they are still rockin’ it.
