AURORA – Queendom

Norwegian viking spirit is back with the first new material from Bergen’s AURORA (which we had the chance to promote as one of the first blogs in Germany) since the release of her debut album in 2016 and her smash-hits “Running with the wolfes” and “Conqueror“. Since then she gained a more and more growing wordwide fanbase – just having played at Coachella festival in the states.

“Queendom” – that just had a debut as “Today’s #WorldRecord” at Beats1 with Zane Lowe – delivers a slightly more electronic and uplifting direction (like she had with Awakening in the beginning of her career.) Even in the more space-filling arrangement she is able to find various places for her unique voice: Within the catchy refrain, in the viking-singing or in the choir-voices in the background.

AURORA - Queendom (Official Video)

“Queendom is about celebrating all the differences in us. It’s about celebrating the women and the children and animals and the men also. The quiet ones and the introverts, where they can sing and be seen. It’s about the shy people and the lonely people and I hope it can be a place where we can come and be lonely together and then not be lonely anymore. Queendom is a place for all of us.”

“Queendom” is on constant repeat and the next smasher of AURORA and her team. (The new logo and the artwork is great stuff too!)
