Since her last album “Kiddo” with the monster-song “Ego” it has been a little quiet around swedish singer Tove Styrke, apart from an appearance as guest vocalist for Alan Walker in Bergen last year. Now we know why: She has been busy recording new music.
“Say my name” is recorded with songwriter/producer Elof Loelv and it is a summer-vibe song with a minimal sound attitude around an instant-classic guitar/ukulele-riff. It has all ingredients to become one of the biggest hits this summer – it is damn catchy but not overproduced or too polished, it has it’s edges. And this makes it outstanding apart from the always on-the-point vocals from Tove.
